Fabian Oefner (born 1984, Switzerland) is a curious investigator, photographer and artist, whose work moves between the fields of art and science. His images capture in unique and imaginative ways natural phenomena that appear in our daily lives, such as sound waves, centripetal forces, iridescence, or the unique properties of magnetic ferroliquids. His exploration of the unseen and poetic facets of the natural world is an invitation, as he says, ‘to stop for a moment and appreciate the magic that constantly surrounds us.’”

Some work by German-based designer, illustrator & artist Andreas Preis.

Most of his work has a Pique Assiette style, whereby he creates a variety of contrasting textures all in one piece that sit so nicely together creating beautiful results. Awesome work!

Designed for PUMA by Graphic Designer Alex Trochut. Born and bred in Barcelona 1981, he studied Graphic Design at Elisava and has since been working as a freelance illustrator.

Enough with the overused notion of “less is more”, Alex takes a different approach to design; his motto is “more is more”, and this is apparent in most of his rich and vibrant illustrations.

Minjae Lee - self-taught 23-year old South Korean artist, makes what look like explosive digital illustrations, by using markers, pens, crayons, and acrylics.

"I have loved color since I was 7 year old. Not many people accepted me using colors this way, including a few teachers so I’ve always drawn by myself. One day, I found markers and loved them because of the vivid colors they produce. So I always use markers now."

haha, my tattoo on fuckyeahtattoos

fuckyeahtattoos:

Got this done at Frith Street Tattoo in London at the end of April 2012. It was done by Stefano C.

The tattoo is inspired by M.C. Escher’s hands, one of my favourite graphic artists of all times, however I loved the concept more than the piece in this case, so I decided to change it and add as much colour to it as possible. The concept which I love is the idea of creating and recreating yourself endlessly, but being a “creative” myself I wanted to add a touch of colour and brightness to it. I also wanted the hands to be ‘unisex’ and old school (not pencil sketched).

Stefano did an amazing job with it. He listened carefully and did everything I asked for and more. This is his style though, I am not sure I would pick him for another style of tattoos, but for this I would recommend him as one of the best that I have seen in London. He has great attention to detail, is talented and makes you feel very comfortable (it was my first tattoo and it took close to 3 hours - comfort is everything!).
